Lognormal Distribution

A random variable \fs4 X will have the lognormal distribution if its (natural) logarithm is normally distributed

\fs4 \ln X \sim N(\mu, \sigma^2)

In finance many studies are based on the lognormal distribution for asset prices. The Black-Scholes model is an example.
